NOVICA Unique Gifts (Review)

I received my Happy Hen yesterday afternoon! Oh my gosh it is so beautiful my husband even commented on how nice it is. It is a perfect Hen flower pot about size of a large real hen. The colors are rich with blues, yellows, greens and burgundy. It looks just like the picture on NOVICA. I will not be putting this on my patio it is so nice it will stay inside as part of my decor. I put a silk plant inside it and have it up on top of my hutch. My Happy Hen came nicely gift wrapped with a card from the Castillo family. It truly is a lovely work of art and I can honestly say I would suggest shopping with NOVICA. The Happy Hen would be a nice touch to your outdoor or indoor decor.

Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops Review

As a kid I remember getting a Pine Bros. cough drop from my Mom when I had a sore throat. Now finally they are back in stores and online. They have two flavors available now Natural Honey and Wild Cherry and two more coming soon Licorice and Lemon-Citrus. I received a sample of each in the Pucks which are by the way perfect to toss into your handbag. They are soft kind of like a gummy and slowly dissolve with the same great flavor as they had years ago. My mouth and throat get dry sometimes and I found they really help with that and of course they are great for a minor sore throat. You can buy them at your local drugstore like CVS and Walgreens or online at Drugstore.com to name just a few.

Strawberry-Pineapple Topped Sour Cream Pound Cake

Strawberry-Pineapple Topped Sour Cream Pound Cake

3 eggs
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sour cream
11/2 cups flour
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven 325
Spray an 8x4x2 pan
Stir flour, baking soda and baking powder into bowl set aside.
In mixing bowl beat butter for a bit then slowly add sugar beating 10 minutes.
Add vanilla then eggs one at a time.
Add slowly half of flour mixture then half of the sour cream mixing on low/medium speed until all has been added and it is well mixed.
Pour into pan bake 60-70 minutes.
Cool 10 min and remove from pan cool another 30 minutes.

Topping
Cool Whip or other dairy topping you like.
Fresh or canned Pineapple and/or Strawberries
Put a slice of pound cake on dessert plate spoon on Cool Whip top with fruit.

If you do not have the time use a frozen pound cake nothing wrong with that!

Pound cake was traditionally made with a pound of each of four ingredients flour, butter, eggs, and sugar.




Kraft Recipes Strawberry-Rhubarb Pound Cake Dessert This sounds good I am going to try it.

We moved into our home in October and I am still trying to decorate. I love Hens, Chicks and Roosters so I have kind of a county style kitchen and dining area. The old hutch came from family it was out in a barn!




I have my Moms 1950's Pyrex in both Turquoise/White and White/Turquoise. They are actually the Pyrex Amish Butterprint pattern.
